THE APPLICATION OF MIND MAPPING TECHNIQUE TO INCREASE STUDENTS’ READING COMPREHENSION ACHIEVEMENT AT THE EIGHTH GRADE SMPN 38 PALEMBANG

Reading certainly has many purposes, one of which was by reading people can find out the information, increase knowledge and to expand horizons. Thus writer tried explore use mind mapping technique know significant improvement in students’ comprehension achievement recount text after being taught with mean difference students between who were using those not. The research design this study is a quasi-experimental population from two classes eighth-grade SMPN 38 Palembang consisted 32 each class. Data collection techniques used pre-test post-test. analyzed t-test (paired sample independent t-test). outcome t-obtained experimental group higher than t-table (17.201>0.2913). Also, results aspect showed that there improvement. Beside, also not.The findings revealed teaching effective toward at academic year 2021/2022.
